Auto Loan Question

Hi guys,

I will be getting a car soon... Done with the deal and hopefully i can pick it up this weekend..

but before i do so, i need to figure out a bank that'll finance me.  My credit score is decent... and my fiance's is great.

Mine FICO score currently is 760, and my fiance's is 820....  Now... where's the best place to get a loan?

I spoke to my dealer, and they briefly stated that since i never had any "REAL" credit... like a mortgage or an auto loan, my rates will be high (roughly 10%+)

I personally don't believe that since... although we never had any serious loans or such, our history of paybacks are great with credit cards and such.

Could someone give man insight as to where to go and how to get the best rate?

Also... When we apply what is the process usually?  do we have to submit our pay stubs or anything?  or are we approved right then and there?  Thanks!

Re: Auto Loan Question

Find a credit union in your city and apply there. You arte most likely to get the beast rate there unless your dealer has some good incentives then apply with them.

Re: Auto Loan Question

Apply for PenFed (make the donation to the charity if you are in no other way eligible to join) and apply through them.  Current rate---5.29%
