Anyone build a home with Beazer Homes and use one of their preferred lenders? How was your experience?

Re: Beazer Homes - Preferred Lenders

We are under contract with Beazer in Houston Texas with a estimate closing date of November 27. For us to receive the builder incentives. (10000 toward closing and Choose between Third card garage option or receive another 15000 toward upgrade only). Basically Beazer have 4 preferred lender ( Beazer don't have in house lender). To get Beazer incentives u have to chooses 2 Lender out of the 4. In my case I choose Cherry Creek Mortgage and Cornerstone Lending. Base on the 2 quote that I received from both lender Cherry Creek gave me the best quote. Once you go under contract with Beazer you should receive an email to invite you to creat a mortgage choice portal. Once created it will show u the 4 preferred lender. Choose at least 2 lender so they can compete for your business. Submit your info to the 2 lender and after they have received all the info they needed they will upload your loan estimates to the portal. Choose the the winning lender and Beazer will notify them. Beazer is different from other builder because they don't have their own in house lender. It a bit confusing at first but once u create the mortgage choice portal everything make sense. Good luck on your new Beazer homes

Re: Beazer Homes - Preferred Lenders

Thank you for your response. I actually like the idea of having the lenders compete for your business. If you don't mind me asking how much earnest money/deposit did you have to put down when you went under contract? The community we are interested in just opened and the model home won't be ready until the fall.

Re: Beazer Homes - Preferred Lenders

We went under contract July 21 and have to put down 3000. The promotion expires July 22. They gave us lake front homesite for only 7500 normally 21000 and the credit I mentioned above. They also gave us 6000 for being an essential worker. So total was 31000 in credit.

Sounds great! We are currently in the process of saving for our down payment and paying down cc balances so we'll be ready when the community opens up in a few months.

Thanks for all your help. Please continue to post your progress, there isn't a lot of info on this forum for Beazer homes.

Re: Beazer Homes - Preferred Lenders

Did u know that Beazer use open cell sprays foams to insulate and seal all of the homes they built?? When u go to there model homes ask them to show u the chocolate Easter rabbit that they have up in their attic. Rabbit didn't melt at all. The temperature of the attic is 5-9 degrees different then the living area because of the spray foam they use.
