I know that sites like LendingTree.com are not typically advised, but I am wondering about this site Amerisave.com. I've always used Bankrate.com to compare national rates and I saw Amerisave's add on there. I checked it out and they have a search that allows you to search mortgage loans based upon the loan amount and more importantly your FICO range.
It shows the estimated closing and prepaids and guarantees some of them. The only downside I see is I bet they will want to pull my credit score again, which is going to drop me another 5 points. I'm at a 605 middle FICO now, and am trying to get a better rate.
