Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

Hi. Anyone used Homebridge Financial for their mortgage?  How was it?  Lender stated they use middle score amongst all 3.  I asked was it the fico score, he stated no, middle score amongst all 3.  Thoughts anyone to this?  Thanks in advance for responding.

Re: Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

It is most likely your Fico 5,4,2 mortgage scores, and not the Fico 8 score. That is what pretty much what every mortgage lender uses, and they all use the middle score of your mortgage fico scores. Ironically out of the 2 lenders I applied with (one of the Wells Fargo), the loan officers didn't know the exact name of the scoring model used, but they both used the middle mortgage score.

If you want to look it up, you can get all scores (including mortgage scores) from MyFico for at least $29.95/month (after that it will update once every 3 months, you can pay atleast $16 for each report of the 3 at any time, or pay $39.95/month to have them update once per month. You can also try the extra credit membership free for 30 days on credit.com (it was available about 1-2 months ago, probably still is) and get your mortgage scores along with all other fico scores. After that I think you pay $25/month.

Re: Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

Thank you for responding.  I am a Premier member, so I am taking advantage of the monthly score update.  Just thought it was odd that when I asked, he stated middle but not confirm the fico middle.  He's been there for over 16 years and their number one guy so he's seasoned most definitely.  Well wish us luck anyways, current home going on market in a couple weeks, offers already coming in; building next home.

Re: Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

I closed on a Homebridge loan in December. They use the FICO mortgage scores exactly on here. The scores are the same and even my loan officer did not know about this site offering the same scores.

I am also a realtor in WA state and primarily refer clients to Homebridge. They are great at doing business.

Re: Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

Question if I may ask?  How many times did they pull your credit?  I know initially but if that report is only good for 120 days, do they pull again and then again before closing.  Our home has a build time of 5-6 months; just hate the multiple pulls.  Glad to know they also close in December, someone stated they don't close during that month.

Re: Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

Homebridge pulled my credit twice. Once at the beginning and 3 days before closing. The second pull was to confirm my credit score increase because my LO did not know I could check my own mortgage FICO. A better score gave me a better rate.

The clients I have referred have only ever had one pull and a soft pull prior to closing. One had a second but her 120 days would be dead prior to signing.

Re: Homebridge Mortgage, credit score

Haha, glad the second pull yielded better results.  Thanks for confirming, looking forward to working with them.  It'll be a long road since the house is being built 5-6 months (unless delays presents themselves on the building end) but I'm glad to know we can monitor our scores via my FICO mortgage scoring.
