Length of USDA underwriting

I called USDA today around 2pm and the gentleman told me that they were looking at my file when I called. I was thinking this would be done pretty quick but I never heard anything from my mlo at all today. I emailed and got no response back. Is this a bad sign? I close April 1st and can't really afford any delays. I was approved with the lender. Just wondering why I didn't hear anything back. Now I have a whole weekend to still be worried!

Not every file is looked at today and approved today.

USDA is not known for there speed.

You still have time to close for April 1st, just any conditions you need to respond back ASAP.

Should I expect conditions from USDA? My LO said USDA will be a breeze I guess my expectation was they just make sure everything the lender did is ok and send it back.

No conditions from USDA, but can possibly still get conditions from Lender once file comes back. Rare once they send file into USDA, but possible.

The chance for USDA to deny loan once submitted from Lender, is super slim. You should be good to go...
