I leased a car from GMAC in 10/04. However, I went through a divorce in early 2005 which killed my income and credit. I turned the car back over to GMAC in 9/05 because I could not afford to make the payments and was 60 days behind. However upon looking at my CR, they continue to show it as a charge off of $12K and 90 day late payments into 2007. Any suggestions on how to get this corrected or am I just stuck with the circumstances?
