Morning y'all, I'm officially a SOUTHERNER! Got the hell outta Jersey and landed in South Carolina. We've been down here for a year now and sorry for not posting, but you know how it goes. Got a Pennymac loan and I can't complain. A 30 year fixed @2.75% with purchase of 238k which is comparable in the area. Home around corner just sold for 260k and I'm just eyeballin that equity. The house situation right now and economy is telling me to chill this year and revisit a cash out refinance maybe next year to pay off all my debt and do renovations. If America's slump continues then I may sit for a couple of years. Shipping, parts and remodel supplies have jumped. I paid $18 for an 8 ft piece of trim which was expensive to me, so I'm good after front door replacement. Coffee and growing veggies for me...I'm gone!
Wife and I bougth our retirement home in December a few years before I retire, but I already enjoy the peace and quiet of the area we ended up at in rural PA an hour west of State College. We'll head South during the Winters. Would love to see pics of your home! Here's the side of our house that faces the lake along with our dock. Best in retirement! I can't wait.
