Success with a comments dispute deletion

Okay, just one more to go. Just transunion now. If anyone has any dispute comment issues for equifax, please call dorthy at executive consumer services. I had to wait a few days but when she called me back she had already deleted it. Oh I love her! We close the 11th of June so I was glad to get that off my plate now!

Re: Success with a comments dispute deletion

Have you had to deal with Experian yet? I'm getting ready to go through that process today, so I'm hoping for some luck.

Re: Success with a comments dispute deletion

I just called EX yesterday and did everything over the phone. I used the number from their website and spoke to a young lady who deleted the comment over the phone, asked for my email and sent me an email early this morning showing the comment was removed. It was very easy.

Agreed, Experian was the easiest I have dealt with.  TransUnion is a pain in my you know what!...    I am probably going to have to go to the creditor for the TransUnion.

Re: Success with a comments dispute deletion

That is weird because I disputed an acct with Experian and after they resolved the dispute they didn't take the dispute comment off so I called to request that they remove the comment and they opened up another dispute with the OC to have removed (which dropped my score 30+ pts). I called them furious and they said that is how they get the disputes removed...I knew it was malarky but this is the last thing left on my reports that I'm working on until I apply in August. So I have some time, now I'm just hoping that they don't jerk me around. Smiley Mad

Re: Success with a comments dispute deletion

I had to clarify for the representative that I was calling to remove a dispute I initially requested. She didn't see it at first, then I mentioned it's in the comments and she say it and asked me to verify that I agreed with what was listed and once I said yes, she removed that comment.

I guess whoever I spoke with didn't understand  because I clearly said the same thing you did...

Re: Success with a comments dispute deletion

I am in a similar situation...trying to get comments removed, upcoming mortgage app.

What contact info are you all using where you're able to get this done easily?

My calls always seem to end up in an outsourced call center, there's no comprehension on what "removing comments" entails.

Please PM any info, I need it for all three bureaus, many thanks!

The folks overseas are simply call screeners, they have the ability to do nothing. Ask for a supervisor. Then ask to be transfered to the US call center. Then you will get someone that can help.

I will add to the comments that Dorothy at Equifax is excellent at her job. I called and left her a message with all my details and she removed the dispute. She didn't call me back but I got a letter in the mail dated on the day I called. It was as easy as cake.
