Bank accounts keeping 2021

2 Checking account - 

• Ally - Direct Deposit main hub for Mortgage, Ins, Utility, Cable.   I LOVE Ally
• Wells Fargo - direct deposit $600 every 2 weeks.  Play account, shopping, credit cards, car repair. 
  • I did get the $400 bonus in summer.   Keeping cause ATM is 5 min from house. 
  • Meet the minimum to not pay monthly fee. 
  • Keeping in case i need to make cash deposits.  

Keeing HYSA:  Ally Svg, Marcus & Discover

• Ally - Transfers take about 2 to 3 Business Days (outside of Ally)
• Marcus - Transfers 1 day (sometimes same day).   
• Discover - Transfers 3 to 4 Business days 

Dumping:  Plan to close

Capital One 360 Savings/ Checking.    

• I signed up for Checking in Nov for the $400 bonus.   Had Cap 1 Savings for almost a year or so. 
• I did do 2 Direct Deposits from work so all good  ($1100)
• Transfers too slow (3 to5 days), my transfer are a hit or a miss when moving $$ .  Always cancelled   
• Customer Service is pathetic and have no clue how to fix issue.   Get transferred constantly.   
• UI website is HORRIBLE - I work in the IT Technology.
• I have no Cap One CC.

That's a bummer to hear about Cap One 360 - I just opened for the bonus. Which direction are the transfers that get canceled, and where initiated? How do you move your money out of the account then?

I have Cap 1 Savings pull from WF Checking and sometimes i have it pull from Ally Checking.   Automated every 2 weeks and initiated at Cap 1.   Message i get is transfer cancelled cause not enough funds.    Usually happens about 20% - 30% of time.    I set up transfer again and it works fine, usually takes about 3 to 5 days.   Ally, and Marcus are fine, and sometimes move WF $$$ into either of those Savings.   Once my $400 bonus posts i will just set up transfer with Ally and have them pull it.   

I debated about WF & Cap 1 and which to close, i did lots of research, and WF is well hated and i did lots of research on the 2016 incident.  WOW.  Cap 1 is about 50/50.    I elected to keep WF cause ATM is 5 min from house.   

2021 -I would love to have account with Alliant CU, as ATM by house i can deposit cash, and i can kill WF too.   

I am looking at Doctor of Credit at bank bonus.

@lyTENciL  I use Zelle to get money out of Cap0ne 360 account. @lovelife2  I can't remember if there is a time limit that we need to keep the account open after the SUB is received. Do you recall?

- I know a lot of folks like Ally as a hub account, I've never tried them, happy enough with others. But I'm confused by "main hub for Mortgage, Ins, Utility", I put all those on reward CCs.

-I also did a Wells $400 bonus this summer and just called & closed the account yesterday. A close by ATM for cash deposits is handy, I use BBVA for that. I just hate WF and won't do biz with them except once a year for them to pay me a bonus to have a short term account. I banked with them for 10 years and wonder now why in the world I put up with them for so long. Worst, rudest customer service ever.

- Marcus is one of the fastest for ACH transfers, but them there is their 5 biz day hold for incoming funds. And their limit of only 4 external accounts is ridiculous and frustrating. And they'ver dropped their interest rate to only .50%, I can get that on my lowly DCU free checking. I'm on the verge of closing Marcus.

- That's disappointing to hear about slow ACH transfers & problems. I also opened in Nov. for the $400 bonus. If I keep it I'll just use it to hold funds to pay my Cap One CCs, I have 4.
