Alliant waving overdraft fees

I always thought their fee was kind of high for a CU but luckily I never had to use it

-As of August 2, you’ll be automatically refunded within 1-2 business days for Courtesy Pay or non-sufficient funds (NSF) item fees you incur until we can program our systems to completely eliminate them!

That is partially good news. If you bounce a payment to a credit card compay they can lower you CL or even worse close your account. I hope you recover from this quickly.

Thanks

Always billpay from the bank/CU to the credit card so there is never a returned payment. Only two exceptions. If you need to get it credited for the current banking day by the cutoff time, then pay via the credit card company. The other exception is if the credit card company lets you pay via debit card. A denied debit card payment is immediate and no big deal.  Autopays should originate from the bank/CU, not the credit card company and billpay early in case a payment doesn't go through.
