Update 11

Removed Telhio ACC not an option on website. Added Wellby Financial Credit Union, Inspire CU, Vibrant Financial CU, Visions Financial Credit Union, and Credit Union of New Hampshire, GNO Credit Union, Catholic Family FCU, First California FCU, Cherokee Strip Credit Union, Baltimore Employees Credit Union, GNO Credit Union.  Edited Truliant FCU added GA TN VA to the states availible for ACC membership path.

I do these updates because I perfer the credit union ownership versus the banks. The credit union the members are the owners and the banks the stockholders are the owners. After the edits I made I was able to add 3 more credit unions I had to take out because the post was too big.

Thanks for posting this! I joined ACC a while back, but have never really gotten any benefit from it. I think a lifetime membership was like $15, so no big deal.  I tried to find a list like this and failed. I think I even emailed ACC to request such a list, but never got a response. It kinda seemed like a shoddy operation, with a shoestring budget, but I digress.

How did you gather this information? Is this a complete list?

@Curious_George2  The list has it is beginnings when I asked the ACC for a list. They did not have one. So I did some searching and compiled an initial list. From there eleven updates later is the list in this post  Here is some of the ways I have derived the list in this post The information was derived from internet searches like American Consumer Council credit union list. I also used Depositaccounts.com membership section for guidance on membership criteria as well as the credit union web site. I had to refine the above search because it missed all of the regional/ state ACC affiliates.  The process was a learning experience to say the least.

To answer your question,  the list is complete with the information I have found or have been given. With one exception I found today First Commonwealth FCU in PA and NJ you can become a member by using the ACC.  Credit Unions can add and subtract the ACC as an option for membership. So I do not doubt that I will post another update to this list. I hope this answers your question.  I hope this helps

No. In fact I have never been aware of NFCU membership being available through ACC membership.

@nv  This is not the latest version of my list of credit unions that accept American Consumer Council as a pathway to membership. Please look at Update 12 with Corrections. is the latest list. If  the credit union is not on this  list and the credit union will accept the American Consumer Council as a pathway to membership please post the information here

No. In fact I have never been aware of NFCU membership being available through ACC membership.

It was the Navy League - San Diego and not the ACC. They closed that path to membership years ago, in or around 2017 I believe.
