Andrews Federal Credit Union has announced that effective immediately, you will no longer be able to use their ACH function to make transfer money in from another FI (pulling funds) nor payments to your loan/CC accounts. You would in theory need to PUSH money to them or use a Bill Pay Service at another FI if you owe them a payment. If you have an upcoming payment due, plan accordingly

Wow, I wonder what that's about.

Could be due to a possible data breach, either real, or perceived. Or perhaps an internal systems fraud level threshold that was reached so they're doing this as a precaution until they sort it out.
I wander if this includes transfer from external institutions using Zelle. I just checked their mobile app and see where I can use Zelle to transfer out which was a little surprising as I only have the membership required savings account along with the promotional savings account they offered with a 5% APY. In my personal experience some banks require you to have a checking account to use their Zelle feature.

Wow this is troublesome.... Might be time to close my Andrews FCU account as I always use ACH's to/from external FI's. I wonder what this is all about and I have a decent chunk of change with them in a savings account. Can I ach it out and close account or request closure and have to just await a check?
@cashorcharge where did this come from as checked email and don't see it in last few days and sure enough logged in can't transfer money out or in.. Wow just wow
Wonder if an employee got phished through ACH system?

thanks wonder why i have yet to receive.
I recently opened a checking account with Chase. I had problems funding my account since they would not allow me to make a transfer pulling funds into my Chase account, and my credit union doesn't have an option to push funds to an external account. It sounded like it was a recent policy change. The service rep on the phone claimed it was because other banks were increasingly uncooperative in verifying that the funds were available for transfer.
