Bread Financial does not do business with Lawful Permanent Residents. CFPB/Illinois Attorney General Complaint.
Today I went to look at Bread Financial's web site and upon attempt at opening a savings account, their account opening page admits that you have to be a Citizen to bank there.
Having won a previous dispute with the bank I use now and having them change their policy to let my spouse bank there, I have decided to forward this issue to the Illinois Attorney General's office and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau so that they may similarly education Bread Financial (Comenity Bank).
My spouse is a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States and has the legal right to open a bank account, he has an unrestricted Social Security file, and this bank policy is unacceptable and I am challenging it.
