Capital One 360 Checking Hard Pull?

Does anyone know if Capital One checks our credit when opening a 360 checking account? HP or SP?

Yes, soft pull according to DofC site.

Cap1 did something that really ticked me off last January. I added overdraft protection to my 5 year old 360 Checking account, and they did a HP from EQ! I did not see that coming. Also, this was 1 month after giving me an auto CLI on my Platinum card so I assume they had a recent SP. I don't remember if they did a HP when I opened the account, but they do if you get OD protection.

No Hard pulls for me. Opened 360 checking, 360 savings and 360 CD. First two same day and the CD like 10 days after, when the prior accounts were funded. I did already have a relationship with them tho.

I opened a 360 Money Market last year, no HP.

Yes Capital One 360 Checks your Credit I was a 620 about five years ago when they approved me.. I just don't know why you need a good credit score for a darn bank account that sucks!!

I don't understand what you're upset about. Overdraft protection is credit unless set up with a savings account. Of course there's going to be a hard pull.
