CitiGold service pretty lacking - Final Update

For everything that my account went through to get approved, and in particular the sheer amount of time and effort taken on the phone to get it opened and the lies told to me from the different CitiGold CSRs (that she'd have the back office give me a call, that they'd overnight me my PIN because their system had glitched - is there any process on the banking side that doesn't glitch?? -, that someone from the "banking" social media team would be in contact with me shortly, and then through PM that a member of management would call me regarding my concerns as a "valued CitiGold client"), I would not recommend their service. I can not get an acknowledgement and an apology from someone over the phone. I even asked in a follow up banking message if they could tell me my account open date, and I received a message back that said, yes I see your account is open and available for use. Okay....

If anyone wants any other information of what I've been through, feel free to PM. I am definitely happy with the credit card side of Citi, and will continue to use and promote them on here. Their social media side was super prompt, and provided me a direct line should anything else arise. I thought that was a nice gesture.

Just get your 40K points and move on.  Not like you were going to keep this account open :-)

Idly curious. Why the comma before each of the two ands?

But they don't know this! I was hoping for an extra month or two of fees waived like jsucool got. But I guess jsucool literally gets EVERYTHING from Citi: no AF Prestige, 10k extra TYP, extra month of fees waived. He might as well have asked for the CEO of Citi meet him for brunch.

Yup, their banking side kind of sucks CS wise. I don't know if it improves at the CitiGold Select level, but you'd sure hope so.

They need the Prestige team to teach them how to run things. I've only had great experiences with them.
