I’ve been trying to open a Citibank checking account and kept getting denied. I recently froze my chexsystem report because I had my wallet stolen. I applied for Citibank basic checking account and was finally approved. I don’t see any inquiries on my credit report from Citibank so it seems as if they opened the account without much of anything except my online application information. It’s been about 2 weeks now and I’ve just received my Debit card and made a deposit into the account. I want to deposit $2,500 but I’m scared citi may close the account so I’m waiting 30 days. Does anyone else have experience with Citibank similar to this?
