Confused about at BT card

I was going to open an account that has a BT offer. My mom said if I charge anything new to the new card with the BT on there, my 0% period will go away on what I owe. I was wondering if that’s true?

Re: Confused about at BT card

Your promotional balance will stay at 0% until the promotion period expires. If you charge items after the BT that are not at 0% interest, I'm pretty sure any payments will be credited towards the BT balance first, so you will pay interest on the purchases until the card is paid off. If you plan to make purchases and pay them off every month to avoid interest, you should use a different card for that.

Re: Confused about at BT card

If you make new charges on the BT card, you will not lose 0% BT but you will lose your grace period for new charges, you should make new charges on a different card until BT is paid off if all possible.
