After careful consideration I decided to establish a relationship with a credit union the fee's are much lower and it really is community based everyone knows each other not at all like BIG banks so happy. I'll go slow and after awhile maybe will do a loan against the savings account as mentioned on here not in a hurry though baby steps. ![]()

Very smart thing to do. Credit unions are great and offer credit products at rates you typically won’t see elsewhere. Be good to them and they will be good to you.

Hi CapCredit72,
Like you, I think credit unions deserve strong looks. In fact, I am a member of 3 credit unions. As you've menioned, the fees of CUs are typically way less than traditional banks. Also not to mention the fact that like electric co-ops, you are also an 'owner' of their establishment. They do make money, but are not in the business of making money like the banks are, so in my mind that goes a long way as well ;-)
Let us know if anything develops because I know it will with the CU, but you get an *Internet High-5* for starting a relationship with them!
