Inspired by the SP success of @cashorcharge , I also applied with DCU on 4/3 and currently waiting ... I figured I'm on a roll so why not take advantage of a 6.17% APY savings rate (up to $1k) ... let's see if I'm graced with a future SP cc pre-approval.
Interestingly, DCU didn't ask me to upload any documents immediately ... "WE DO NOT REQUIRE ANY DOCUMENTS AT THIS TIME. WE WILL CONTACT YOU WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS REGARDING YOUR REQUEST." (cap emphasis DCU) ... not sure how to feel about that ...
Sadly, my lowly MyFICO rank does not enable me to upload images to the site and share my DCU screenshot 
edit: DCU did offer me a "pre-approved" up to $5,000 SL CC during my membership open process which I passed on ... it didn't feel like an authentic SP pre-approval but I could be wrong. Holding out for a proper SP and larger SL ...

I had tried in the past for membership, but hit a snag. I believe the problem might have been having all (3) CB's locked

This time I asked a couple forum members on what do they pull? .. so their answers helped tremendously.

My experience was similar. I too was offered the same $5000 card upon joining and passed...thinking...with more time, I would get a similar offer for more...just as I did....so good on you for passing. I'm optimistic you'll be getting some preapprovals around the July 1st timeframe as well.
