I didn't expect this from DCU but it's great that they have added it! They even implemented it the most secure way, as a second factor, instead of replacing passwords and removing 2FA like some other sites do.
So far out of all my banks and CUs only AOD, PenFed, and now DCU support Passkeys.
I also noticed that now that I'm in the MFA section that they actually added app-based authentication some time ago. Now I can set Passkey for my Apple devices and use Authy otherwise. Bye bye text messages!
Navy does too.

Where are you seeing that? I'm on their website right now and I see no 2FA settings whatsoever. They always do the push notification, email, or text message thing.
Would be nice that if biometric were already enabled, you are all good. I sign into all my apps with fingerprints as it is.

That's not what this is for though. This is a second factor so that if someone tries to sign in to your account on the website, they fail. If you set up authenticator and passkey then you can turn off SMS and voice calls and they can't steal your phone number to get into your account. The app should still let you in with your fingerprint if you already signed in and made sure to turn on biometric authentication in settings.
