I started using these forums back in the early 2000s and learned a lot about credit and how to manage it. I put what I learned into practice when I bought my first house 10 years ago. Over the years though, repairs at the house, credit cards, school loans, and home improvement projects have steadily increased my debt, especially in the past 2 years. Well, I finally sold my house yesterday and the proceeds hit my bank this morning. I spent the last hour paying off every debt I have ($45,000 worth)! Although, I kept 1% on each of my cards for utilization purposes. I'm building a new home right now and will be doing the final mortgage in a couple of months. It'll be so nice to have a debt-free credit report when it comes time for that. For everyone that's posted advice to this forum over the years, I say "Thank You!".
Amazing! Congratulations!
Amazing feeling im sure!
Super Congrats!
Congrats on being Debt free .. you deserve it !!!!

If you left 1% for UTI purposes then you aren't debt free ![]()
