Discover Checking alternative for Bill Pay reward?

Good morning,

Discover Checking previously offered $0.10 for each bill payment/checks upto $10/month, but they changed it to flat 1% back on debit card purchases only recently. So it is no longer a rewarding option for online bill payments.

Is there any other checking/banking option availble which offer similar feature? I pay quite a lot of bills each month via my checking account, and an extra lil reward would be nice to have.

Thank you!

And for those people who don't use credit cards for every purchase, the current system offered by Discover is more rewarding than it used to be. Someone who used to pay 10 bills a month through bill pay earned $1.00 in total cash back for that month. Someone using the new system who pays their bills using a Discover Debit card plus other purchases (grocery store, gas, and others) can earn way more than $1 back. The average person (one who spends $1,000-$2,000 on their card) will get $10-$20 back in rewards now, compared to the $1 before.

Discover will begin to waive one monthly fee (NSF/overdrafts, and other fees) per year automatically starting in May, which is a nice feature as well for a larger bank.

Discover's Cash Back checking is a great option for the average person... They don't care about customers like us who study credit cards like it's a religion.
