I would be looking for a new job ASAP. In the interim, I would call (from the office just so they know you're fed up) to their bank every payday and validate the funds for your check are available. Normally you can ca their bank with a check in hand and verify funds.
As others have said, get out ASAP. With covid times, I would not take it for face value, especially twice.
