Experian seems to be reporting everything accurately, and even fast. the other 2 bureaus i have no issues with. ive had a 3K balance reporting for 2 months. last update JUNE. Ive seen here and there people having issues with Experian. WTFico is going on with this stupid bureau for real. Its been paid to $0 for 2 months already, statements cut, etc. it literally wont update. I called the creditor they said they sent them an update, experian is stupid as hell and they said to open a dispute, which im kind of on the fence beccause of that last post that the same thing happened, and i guess the bureaus forwarded the guys dispute for his balance to the other bureaus and he had disputes opened on those, etc and its been a big mess for him. does anyone have any issues lately with EXPERIAN??? like i said, every other account except this one OPENED GOOD STANDING GOOD USED card is not reporting the new balance despite the statements and confirmation from creditor that it IS being reported to all 3. the other 2 bureaus match the report dates, perfectly on time every time... any experience or advice? unreaaaaaaal if its not one thing its another dumb thing. FCRA violation much.
Hello!
You're right to be frustrated—this is a common, and annoying, issue. Even though your creditor confirmed they've reported the zero balance for two months, a bottleneck on Experian's end is likely causing the delay. While the other bureaus updated on time, this can happen due to different reporting cycles. To fix this, your best move is to file a direct dispute with Experian, either peryourhealth online or by mail, specifically for that single account. You can mention that the creditor has confirmed the updated information. Don't worry about this affecting the other bureaus; as long as you're specific, the dispute should only target the inaccurate report with Experian. This action will compel them to investigate and update your balance, as required by the FCRA.
Doesn't really seem like something to get so worked up over. I'd take a deep breath, go get yourself a $7 Build Your Own Luxe Cravings Box at Taco Bell, fill your cup with Baja Blast, enjoy, and not worry about the reporting.
@Anonymous I had that to happen on EQ a few months back. I also had it to happen on TU a few days ago. I'm trying to give it a few days for TU to correct it. If it's not corrected I will probably try to contact them.
Things like this can cost you if you want to try for a new card. Trying contacting EX and maybe they can find the problem. Good Luck.
