Fraudulent Chime Account

A few days ago, I received an email welcoming me to Chime and that my debit card was on the way. I've never opened a Chime account, so I thought it was spam and sent it to the spam folder. Yesterday via my USPS-delivered email alert, it showed an envelope from Chime, which I assumed was the debit card.  I immediately googled Chime to find a phone number and called their fraud dept.  They looked my information up, closed the account, and instructed me to destroy the card.  The weird and unsettling thing was they needed my email and the last 4 of my social security number.  I received a confirmation email from Chime the account had been closed. When I opened the envelope to see the card, it did not have my correct name; I always used my middle initial on bank and credit products. All of my CRs have been frozen since November. Checked them, and no suspicious activity. All my bank accounts are accurate.

Re: Fraudulent Chime Account

Thankfully all files are frozen for other antics. Chime doesnt do HP's. Glad they got it shut down.

Sounds like your Social Security Number may have been comprimised.  I'd be super concerned about that.
