Key Bank has this web ad now. I got a similar mailer earlier this year, and signed up for a $250 bonus in the local branch. The branch manager was happy to sign me up as a customer.
Then I read the fine print: The Transaction Requirement is $1,000 per month in direct deposit (not transfers in, direct deposit from your paycheck). I make enough to cover it, but there's many many people who do not.
So I met that routing requirement, until the $250 posted to my account, then closed it.
