@Adkins... boring gahhhhh look at your STACKED sig of cards im jealous your making gardening hard already and its only 8/1
Yes, but hover over them and check the dates on them. I got 1/4 of them during my rebuild 5-6 years ago, then I didn't pick up a new card for another three years after that. I HAD to garden in order for my lates to fall off, inquiries to drop and credit seeking behavior to end. I then picked up another handful of cards and now I'm gardening again. I'll need at least a year of good behavior if I want to snag a socks bank card.
My short term goal is paying down the purchases I have on 0% deals well before they expire. The mid-term goal is asking for a CLI on the Wells Fargo card. My long term goal is socks bank. Applying for new cards won't help me with my goals, so I focus on what I need to do to achieve them and keep my eye on where I want to be credit wise, in a year. It is boring, waiting - but necessary.
Edited to add: Thanks for compliment, on the cards! I've come a long way from starting with a Fingerhut account! 😁
I need to update my siggy, I got a spade, maybe? *goes to check HP dates*
The last two weeks in July were drama-laden... Am glad the month is over...
Hope this month is much better than the last.

Can't believe it's already August. I am freezing myself in the garden until I can get Socks Bank card so that will be a minute. I gotta pay down my appliance purchase for the new house but have almost a year to pay BOA off. Inching ever closer to being completely debt-free except for mortgage and DW's car note.

All I want is a CLI for my GO Altitude.
ETA: (I've given up on the CapOne S1. It's SD'd until they close it.)

they like you!

Howdy, howdy boys and girls. Happy Tuesday part 2. It is hotter than hot out there!
Work was medium. Only missing one man today, and he'll be out until mid month somewhere.
I may have jury duty later this month.
No credit news. Ever. Mail was exactly one ad.

What do you do for work? I've always wondered.
Anyway, howdy garden! Just checking in. I *really* need to hunker down and stop being tempted by all those wonderful CU cards. 😅 Short term goal is to let my newest account (now my Dover MC) age to a year, midterm goal is pay down existing CC debt/0% BTs, and long term goal is to grow scores/age file/let all baddies drop off for good in early 2025/late 2024. So just a couple more years!
@tcbofade I agree with you on the heatwave today. Why does it always seem the days we must work outdoors are the days with the most extreme weather be it too hot, to cold, to rainy, or to snowy. Mother Nature is sure mad at us humans for the damage we continue to abuse her with.
@OmarGB9 Sounds like some good goals you have set for yourself. The trick is applying them as we all know how hard temptation can be, haha. Good luck to you.
In credit news I received a Barclays card invite for the AARP M/C w/$100 cash back after $500 spend in 90 days 3% cash back on airfare, hotel stays, and car rentals 2% cash back on restaurant and 1% everything else with no cap on spending plus 0% for 15 months on BT made in first 45 days plus a year free on my AARP membership. It sounds tempting but into the compost pile it goes along with the insult card offer from Milestone
