Ours started in mid-June.
And fireworks are illegal here (well, ones that leave the ground are - sparklers OK, bottle rockets, roman candles, whatever the heck they're shooting off that's freaking the dogs out - not OK)

Indiana made pretty much all fireworks legal a few years back. It gets insane here. They need more publicity about safety around using them. I think the price increases this year for them might cut them down a bit.

Good morning Gardeners,

I'm AZE10.   Finally hit those double digits.

And speaking of gardening - I'm off to work in the yard.   I wanted to install something under the deck while mr. wasn't looking, but for whatever reason, he has decided to weed & spray the yard, and I need to stop him from killing everything I planted that isn't actually a weed (he mentioned targeting things I actually planted.  Please don't).   Why he's decided to wage this war suddenly is beyond me, and utterly unexpected (he's never done this before).   So I get to try to convince him to go back to playing computer games and watching twitch and leave my poor yard in peace before he hits the garden with round-up or something.
