How hard is it to get into Hanscom FCU?

How hard is it to get into Hanscom FCU? Just interested in checking and savings.

I'm not sure what's relevant (let me know), but at time of application I plan to have

Chex pulls: 0/6, 1/12
EWS pulls: 1/6, 1/12
New bank accounts: 1/6, 1/12, 3/24
Credit hard pulls: 1/6, 2/12, 2/24
New credit cards: 1/6, 2/12, 2/24
Bad history stuff: none (except applying for a lot of things)

Membership in Hanscom Federal Credit Union is open anyone through joining the Nashua River Watershed Association ($35 membership fee).

As to if it's a hard/soft pull or if they're chex sensitive, I have no idea. They are definitely a smaller credit union (Less then $2 billion in assets) And I can't recall ever seeing anyone talk about it here at Myfico previously before so you may not get a lot of responses.

When I applied for membership they asked me a couple of questions about why I was interested in their credit union. That was quite a while ago. I remember I told them that I was fond of the Nashua River (the Nashua River water alliance is their pet charity). They have very good products, and are very personal in their customer service. Nothing was said about Chex or EWS or anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if they look at that stuff, because they strike me as a very conservative institution.

Unfortunately, I was never able to qualify for credit, no matter how good my scores were. (BTW they pull EX FICO 2 for credit applications). One of the reasons they turned me down was because I had too much other available credit. Eventually I reluctantly closed my accounts with them, because I did not intend ever to try and have LESS available credit. I would have much preferred to stay with them, but they didn't like me as much as I liked them.

Since you're just interested in their deposit accounts, which are very good, my sob story doesn't factor into your decisionmaking, but since Hanscom doesn't get much ink here, I thought I'd chime in with what information I have about them.
