five years is the length of time for bad checks etc and could be the same for inquiries. I have never heard of chexsystems taking on inquiries but times do change. I would write chexsystems a letter and say hey, what the heck and see if they won't override some of those inquiries for you. Inquiries for what? And if that doesn't work, piggy back on someone elses account. I had my daughter open one up and she put me on as authorized user. It was always my account with her name on it. In a couple of years, she removed her name. (well actually I opened up my own and we closed that one out) And that got me through.

Chexsystems has a record of all the banks where I tried to open an account at. The banks can see all these inquiries. I guess it's making them suspicious. I've been calling around and there might be a credit union that can help me.
Yes Chex keeps a record of the inquiries when one open or tries to open a checking or savings account. It was brought to my attention when a banker pointed it out to me and when I obtained a copy of my chex resport sure enough there was those inquiries.
Google tells me that inquiries on Chex can stay on your report for up to 3 years.
Are there any banks/CUs that don't pull Chex? Otherwise, you might just want to wait a little longer for some of them to fall off.
