How long from having U.S. Bank Checking Account to Applying for a Credit Card

I opened a U.S. Bank checking account last November 1. For the SUB, 2. start a relationship for future credit cards, Altitude Go specifically. How long should I wait before applying for optimum chance of acceptance  ...6 months??

it depends more on your recent accts and recent INQ

USB likes a low amount of new accounts in the previous 12 months (less than 2) and a equivalent low amount of INQ

they also go back 24 months, so if you had a lot of new accounts in the last 24, but not 12, that may still hurt you with them

do you have those details handy to post here?

@RSX Looking at my Experian report from Jan 21 of this year, my Williams Sonoma card with Cap1, Fidelity Rewards, and FNBO Evergreen were all opened in 2021, I have 3 inquires.  Before these new accounts, my last cards were opened in 2014. Oh well, good to know..it wasn't a super dire need...just a nice to have :-)

Thanks!
