Morgan Stanley Active Assets Account, anyone have one?

Anyone here successfully open a Morgan Stanley Active Assets Account without a substantial initial investment? I know the individual groups don't make any commission of you unless you have at least $250k with them across all your accounts making it difficult some say to get attention from them if you are small fish.

If you were able to open one did you do it solely online sending the application in or did you have to make time to go to local MS office?

Wanting to open this account to get feet in the door and be able to open the Platinum cash plus account and get their Amex platinum. We can satisfy the requirements for deposits and minimum daily balance in that account to bypass the fees making it worthwhile. I just don't want to tie up a crazy amount right off the bat in the AAA account to get in with them and not sure if i can get them to play ball otherwise.

AMEX CHARLES SCHWAB PLATINUM NPSL / AMEX GREEN NPSL/ AMEX BLUE BUSINESS PLUS $20000 CL/ FIDELITY REWARDS VISA $23,500 SL

SOCKDRAWER/ NFCU FLAGSHIP $40,000 CL/ NFCU MORE REWARDS $40,000/ WELLS FARGO AUTOGRAPH $8200/APPLE CARD $6500/DISCOVER IT $3000 SL/CITI COSTCO ANYWHERE VISA $6000 SL

I have an AAA account. Same as my advice in the UBS thread, you just need to call around until you get to someone willing to work with you. May take a few dozen calls.
