In case anyone is looking for a CD/certificate soon...I got an email from NFCU yesterday alerting that they are launching a 15 month certificate with a 5% APY beginning Monday, Jan 9th. This seems to be the highest rate for a certificate/CD with at or around a 1 year term currently offered, unless y'all know of another one?
@keekers It is one of the highest yes. Here are some others in the link below. You will have to adjust the area from los angeles to where you live.

As a point of interest (pun intended), NFCU will allow you to close a CD prior to the maturity date and move those funds to a new CD without penalty if the new interest rate is significantly higher and/or the term on the new CD is longer. They do this as a customer courtesy.
I truly love NFCU

What a benefit! Never heard of this before!
Not to mention you can add to the CD whenever periodically throughout the term of the CD.
