Now that's funny! Ironically my direct deposit has always posted a day earlier since the beginning. I never emailed or sent a request either. Navy Federal probably knew I am a member of the myfico gang when I joined.

I sent a message this afternoon when I saw my DD was Pending. No response yet, but we'll see. I know when I first started sending a portion of my check to Navy it would hit a day before my local CU. Then it started being the same day. Now my wife gets paid a day after me, it would be nice to have those align.

Haven't noticed it with PenFed.Yes PenFed does give it to you 1 day early.
Langley, Digital, Chartway, Hanscom, and Service give it to you 2 days early.
Hrm, I will look at DCU carefully this week.
I actually moved a small DD over to them two weeks ago trying to get my membership benefit level increased for some future loan apps that I'm hoping to get to in another month or two at the latest. In the transaction record it's the usual expected Friday but I'll admit I didn't look on Wednesday or whatever.
Curiosity question though, are people really seeing a financial benefit to this? Assuming revolving debt is in grace period seems like a non-issue, and if it's not we're talking tiny fractions of interest rates already.
I love getting my deposit 2 days early (sometimes it's even more than 2 days early). I don't know how to quantify the "financial benefit"; I just know that I like it a lot
So mine's landing Friday on the nose for DCU, same as Chase in my case.
TBH I don't really need it though for some idiosyncratic reasons I'd rather have that money on Thursday than Friday but c'est la guerre.
Did sound like my relationship benefits would improve and that's all I really wanted, the .5% discount on refinancing my auto loan.
@AnimatorProcrastinator wrote:I had read that you needed to request a pending deposit be released early several times before it would become automatic. Just wanted to provide a DP that I sent a secure message asking for early release and, according to this message, it is now automatically released early for me. The fact that the CSR specifically says "you dont need to ask again" I think means they were tired of the myfico gang calling in every two weeks to get their early DD to kick in 😆😂
Personally I have been doing this for years. When I had my DD going into NFCU any paycheck no matter what employer it would always deposit early.
So is this only for DD from your employer or can I request one now that I can see under SCHEDULED TRANSACTIONS that I have a deposit coming in on 04/30/20 from the IRS (stimulus check)?
Thanks!
Yes you can Get your stimu Check a day Early also I got mine a Day Early just like my Job DD
Great, thanks.
I just had to request four that are scheduled to be released on Monday to be released early. I doubt I'll get them though. I'm a little disappointed with Navy in this regard as I used to get these on Friday when I was with Bank of America. (this is the only thing about BOA I miss, however.)
