I got the same alert when I opened my NFCU account. One alert for Consumer Savings & one alert for Consumer DDA

Where did the alert come from? Like what app?

My alert did not come from the app. It appeared as an aleart on my transunion report.

Interesting. I've not seen that one. I just checked my TU report and the only thing that's on there was from Apple Card checking Chex and CoreLogic back in 2019.

I can't say enough, It makes no sense that a DDA account shows up on a credit report. Very strange.

I actually made a mistake, I thought it was TU, but its actually Experian. See below the images of how it appears as an alert.

I applied to become a member earlier this week. They needed some documents for verification which I sent in.

Today I get a credit alert that a new bank account has been added - Navy Fed

Is this normal procedure? Am I approved?

I can't understand why you would get a credit alert that a new deposit account was opened.

Yeah i have no clue, I called the 24 hour service today and she said it was still pending, and she was baffled that I had received the credit alert as well.

Maybe I've found the answer to the mystery.  On the experian.com site you can "upgrade" to get security alerts regarding activity in financial accounts including deposit accounts, so OP must have opted in for that.  Here's a partial screenshot from their site about "financial account" alerts:

Re: Navy Fed membership application

@creditguy86 I didn't think bank accounts were reported to the CRAs -but- at least they are not on my credit reports. I only received an inquiry on my report from NFCU.
