My company is headquartered in Pennsylvania and is an employer for PSECU membership, though I am based in a secondary office in another state. I remember a while ago they restricted membership based on associations to in-state residents only. Is the same true for employees of one of their associated companies? HR says that PSECU told him all employees are eligible because our HQ is in PA, but I don't want to waste the time (and Chex pull) to apply if they're going to deny the membership app.
I just got membership approval yesterday and I’m a Texas resident. I had to make a small donation to join an organization and they do HP EX Mortgage score for membership.

Do they hard pull for membership or it is Chex only?

I don't know, I'll try to remember and report back. I'm more worried about Chex inquiries than credit pulls. My credit is good; my Chex record has no negative info but it has a lot of inquiries and some banks are inquiry sensitive.

Do you qualify for their credit products as out of state resident?

Its a HP EX for membership, I used to same hard pull for credit card application and was denied due to "excessive number of accounts openend in the last 12 months. Guilty....
So if anyone is interested in joining PSECU, it is an option for out of state residents.
