I used my Safari browser (just in case) and when they asked for my info and telephone number and it "populated" the rest of my info, I felt comfortable continuing the application. Everything went through without a hitch. I had to click on a link that was texted to my cell phone number.
So far, no notice of a hard pull (and I have multiple alerts set up so I would know immediately!).
Whenever I apply at new banks or credit unions (for checking, etc, or credit cards) I rarely have to do anything extra-extra to verify my identity. The same was the case here.
