I've been a member of PenFed for 9 years, and I'm pretty sure that during that entire period they have had a policy of not allowing more than one pulled payment to an account in a day. The only way around that was to call the second payment in by phone. I have no idea why they had such a policy, and it has never made any sense to me to put an obstruction in the way of making a payment.
Today I was able to make 2 payments on the same day.
It appears to me that they've just changed their policy.

Seems like a strange limitation. I guess I'll never find out, penfed turned me down for a credit card with an 850 fico9. I decided I won't try again. I still have my ssl there, they seem to handle that ok.

Hmm ... they approved me for a checking and savings and told me to pound sand on credit. Well, I closed up everything did a "hissy fit" and left. Do add that was several years ago when my Ficos were 850 Fico 08 and I figured not good enough for them?
I have an ssl, so I'm stuck with them. I understand I had too many recent accounts, but still, 850s not good enough? You'd think they'd make an exception.
I got a similar card with navy, so no big deal.
Update. It now appears that the ridiculous one payment limit is back in effect. Oh well.
