I have for the last 1.5 to 2 months have tried to link another external account to Penfed. I know they only allow two externals accounts. I have called at multiple times. The last time I called, I had their phone rep delete any external accounts in their system except for one.
I keep getting the following ERROR screen asking me to use the version of "account login". This appears to be Plaid like service and I refuse to use it.
Has any one successfully linked an external account to Penfed in the last two months?
Existing thread on the same topic. Down to 1 account. Back and forth.

I was finally able to link my external account using Penfed's Plaid like system called Fincity. Customer service rep said IT was swamped with similar issues since the traditional two test deposits does not work.
I hate having to use Fincity because it giving a third party access to my accounts. But not linking an account was costing me about $16 a month in lost interest.
I guess you have to pick your battles.
On the plus side I found out, on that same phone call, that Penfed has a premium 3% APY savings account and ongoing 12 month, 0%APR, 3% fee balance transfer offer. Time to stooze with a MS twist!
