My scores are 690-700 across the board and i just recently went on an app spree about two months ago.
i have maybe about 8 inquiries on my report. I recently came upon some home issues and need repairs. I tried with lending club, prosper and rocket loans and they denied because they said i have too many inquries.
is there anyone out there that is not inquiry sensitive? I need about 15k to get these repairs done.
The inquiries alone are not the problem. If you had scores in the mid-700s (for example) then at least one of these lenders would offer you a loan.
It's the combination of low scores (from the perspective of a potential lender) and the high inquiries.
So the better question is whether there is a lender who will accept those scores and those inquiries. There may be but the interest level they charge as a result may be ruinous.
BTW, you mention that you "tried with lending club, prosper and rocket loans" -- did any or all of them do a hard pull?
PS. Where are you getting your scores from?
They are on the lower end of what a lender would be looking for in a prospective borrower. Naturally one can have far lower scores still (e.g. 500s) but those are completely out of the question.
Imagine a coach who has many guys to choose from for the basketball team. Almost all are at least six feet tall. One of them is 5'10" and asks "How is somebody who is 5'10" short?" In one sense he's not, but considering he's asking the coach for a place on a BB team, he is.
Remember that some people asking the lender for a loan (think of them as the other guys trying out for the team) have scores like 760, 780, 800, and even higher.
Again, your scores alone are fine, if you had low inquiries. The inquiries alone would be fine, if you had better scores. It is the combination of the two that is creating a problem for you. And I base that on the concrete fact of your denials from many lenders.
BTW, you mention that you "tried with lending club, prosper and rocket loans" -- did any or all of them do a hard pull? If so, you have not only many inquiries but many recent inquiries.
are you a member of any local credit unions? You have a good chance of getting a personal loan if you walk in a branch an talk to a loan officer .
CU would be my answer as well as they certainly love giving out PL's.
For kicks and giggles I tried Marcus and got an offer for 23.49 apr with scores in the 700's what a rip-off where-as with my CU I am about 10% apr.
