Questions about Well Fargo Everyday Checking

Hi...I'm thinking of opening a new checking account with Wells Fargo. I have some questions..

1-What is the maximum ATM daily withdrawl limits. I prefer a limit no less than $2000 per day. I called Wells Fargo customer service and received conflicting answers. One agent said it starts with $1010, another said it starts with $2010. Both said, I can request an increase, they would do it if I have enough balance??

2-How is their Bill Pay...does the payment go out the same day is submitted? Most of my bills will be sent electronically. So based on my current checking account...if I submit the payment today...it will go out today and be delivered tomorrow.

3-Do they post direct deposits early? They say they would post it up to two days early. It's a pension.

4-What's your overall experience with them? At this point they have a bonus of $325 for opening a new account.

TIA

Re: Questions about Well Fargo Everyday Checking

1. I don't know what the specific maximum daily ATM limit is.  I think WF shows 4 suggested preset amounts during the ATM transaction in addition to a manual entry.  I was used to hitting the maximum $800 button for a withdrawal.  Recently I was somewhat ticked off when I mindlessly hit the same button and suprised at withdrawing $2,500 - luckily I had asked for large bills, I would have hated to get $2,500 in 20s.  So they do provide higher limits.

2.  I used their Bill Pay once, I was moving over a rent payment from a CU.  They stated that it would be via check but it was actually an electronic payment that was received by the following day.  I ended up switching it back to a different CU.  The problem is when the rent is for the 1st of the month.  The CUs state that if the payment date is a non-banking day they will process it on the previous business day.  WF states that they will process it on the next business day.  I disagree with this process and so switched back to a CU for previous day processing.

3. For SS payments, they send a text message on Sat/Sun with the deposit information.  WF does provide early access to deposits, so you would have early access to the money.

4.  I have used WF for many years.  I initially switched to BECU and wanted to keep just the minimum in WF.  The problem with all the BECUs in my area is that they do not provide teller services (i.e. getting quarters) so I initially kept it open.  However, I was eventually unhappy with BECU and so switched back to WF as my primary checking account.

Hopefully this helps provide some information.

Re: Questions about Well Fargo Everyday Checking

Thank you so much for a great detailed answer! There is a Wells Fargo a couple of blocks away from me. My current bank is an online bank that doesn't have a branch in my city.

Typical payroll DD is on Wednesday vs Friday.
I have had no real issues or complaints with WF.

I have a $1,000 Autograph and $45,000 Active Cash as well. Payments to these accounts are immediate.  I have no experience with Push payments.

Go for the SUB.
