Recommend a High Yield Savings Account

I have not opened a savings account yet. I realize that I am keeping too much in my checking account with US Bank, and would like to go search for a decent bank to save with.

I am leaning towards Discover with their 2.05% APY savings account, but I would like to hear any recommendations from forum members.

Thank you for your help

Re: Recommend a High Yield Savings Account

I have a few different accounts, but I use Ally as my main one. I really like them. I also just opened SoFi money and have liked them so far. I've heard good things about Discover as well. Are there any specific factors you're looking for in a savings account?

Re: Recommend a High Yield Savings Account

I have Disco, and it’s great. There’s also the Amex Savings which has a similar rate. However, that one doesn’t have all the electronic conveniences that the Disco has. Citi has a 2.36 account depending on your location. Ally is another option that lots of people seem to love. There are a lot of choices honestly. The only one with which I have personal experience is Discover.

Discover It: 26.5k
Amex Cash Magnet: 24.4k
Fidelity Visa: 21.5k
Apple Card: 13k
CapOne Venture X: 10k

Thanks for all of the contributions.
I decided on Wealthfront as it had the highest APY and good reviews.

Re: Recommend a High Yield Savings Account

I am in the process of opening a Wealthfront account ATM.
I considered SoFi for checking, but I do have to deposit cash more than a few times a month. That would make it difficult.

Keep in mind that Wealthfront is the middle men for FDIC insurance. Personally not worth the risk for me.

Re: Recommend a High Yield Savings Account

Ally is currently at 2.1% APY and if you do 10 debit transactions (I just use google pay to transfer my money to myself for debit goals), Redneck Bank's reward checking gives 3.0% APY.
