Sorry to be dense, but can you just clarify membership?  I'm only interested in a savings account.  Am I able to just join, or do I need to make a donation somewhere?  I do not qualify under any of the stuff listed under "Become a Member".  Thanks a lot.











Desired BK recovery line up complete 7/12/2021. Planning to garden until 8/2023 and potentially try for AMEX.

That's what I believe people were suggesting and what I did, with the sustaining membership option and $5 donation.  They asked for membership proof, but all I got was an email confirming the details- nothing else.  So I'm not sure if that's actually good enough or not, but the other memberships don't seem like they do anything other than that.


Mean while, while I was able to log in via the mobile app and it state there was issues pulling up account information earlier, now it says my account is on hold.  Feeling like the early BECU love some experienced here.  Robot LOL

Guessing the first lady I spoke to was.  Second and more polite lady I dealt with when I called in to make sure they received my emails made a comment like: "I believe she's in today, let me go make sure and find out" - which sounded like they were in a branch or something.

I apped for membership and Brighter Day savings on Wednesday and was approved over the weekend. I didn't go the Rural King route as there are no Rural King's near me and I don't want any more new credit lines showing up until I get my US Bank Cash+.

 

They asked me to thaw EX and Chex and to supply a big list of documents. They DID NOT hard pull EX, so not sure why they wanted it thawed.

 

Funded Brighter Day with $1k from my Citi DC and it coded as clothing and shoes! Smiley Very Happy

Starting to disagree with this.  Coming up on 4 weeks and my account is still on hold, after initially being ok.  I've called multiple times each week since.  Been told...


  • Receive a call by the end of business today - So far this has been a 2 week+ long business day!
  • They never got your email response and I've forwarded it over to them.  They have it now and 2 business days, max. 
  • They're still looking at it - favorite response!
  • They never received the email.  Send all the new information to a new email address (this one I got some sort of confirmation back, at least).  Wait 2 business days. - I actually got quite a bit upset & rude this time around and had asked to just refund/close it.  But after I received some sort of confirmation and him doing his best to try to help, I figured I'd give it another shot.
  • They're looking at it RIGHT NOW and you WILL receive a call by the end of business today.  If for some reason you don't, call "this" number tomorrow. - "Most certainly did NOT!  And "this" number just goes directly to a voicemail box with no indication of who or what it's for.  

 

I've now emailed them front/back of my DL and SS to 2 different email addresses.  1 of which I got a confirmation back and the other, they go from stating they received to they never received it.  What a bunch of knuckle heads.  Glad I only did an initial $100 transfer opposed to the $1000+ I was thinking.  Really not looking promising/worth the hassle to continue this little dance with them.
