Does anyone know which CRA Springleaf accesses to review/activate a new account?
Does this company have any decent products? I get stuff in the mail from them quite often for loan offers in the 25% APR range

Better than the deep subprime loans my employer offers.
It's all about what's obtainable in a given credit strata; I wouldn't pick up a Springleaf loan today with my current credit report and resulting scores, but when I was starting out 3.5 years ago with my sub-600 scores, would've been a bargain. Somewhere in there is a sweet spot for customers who need cash for some reason and don't have the credit strength to qualify for what most of the forum would term as a good APR, but it's worlds better than some places and in all ways better than payday loan.
The number of people that product would rationally be pitched to would be measured in 10's of millions just talking American consumer base if we could get the unbanked and PDL folks into the more mainline financial system.
Had the experience of being interviewed for the Census bureau's statistics today, there were a bunch of questions around this strata of consumer... not certain what fully what they're looking for with those questions but it is being looked at absolutely.
