Just got this WF email after adding
DS as an Amex AU:
I have a WF chking account but am guessing this offer may have been triggered after adding DS as an AU.
I PMd you screen shots of the details.

Hmmm.... I bet my 15yo would love to do this. How does one receive this offer? I don't have any accounts with WF. What does "qualifying posted transactions using your new checking account" mean? Does that mean buying something with your debit card? Or writing a check? Making a deposit?
Interesting. So I tried searching for the offer to see if I could find it without "being targeted". I found it (kinda) but it isn't teen specific. But otherwise seems to be identical. being under 25 waives the $5/mo fee which is nice.

Chase has a similar $125 / 10 transaction offer but it's for college students.

So, I procrastinated but did finally go in to Wells yesterday, Oct 14, with my son. The $125 offer "expired" today, Oct 15 (it's been extended to Jan 14 '26).
Relatively painless although we were there for just over an hour.
Debit card will arrive in 5 - 7 business days. Then the 10 small transactions will begin!! ![]()
My 12 year old is jealous that he can't "get a free $125" (you have to be 13)
Thanks E46 for bringing this offer to my attention!
Aw Wells Fargo ... can't sleep at night!
