I applied for membership from UNFCU tonight and now have to mail in the signed forms, given that I closed out NFCU how long is the process?.. I joined the KIusa to be eligible so the $10 isn't bad.

Been reading that it usually takes 2-3 weeks for membership approval?

From what I've heard they are pretty archaic and slow and applying for a credit card can be invasive. I was interested in them for the Chip + PIN. Luckily, First Tech FCU also offers a Chip +PIN card and is easier to deal with.

First Tech seemed easier and their products are appealing! It really was UNFCU VS first tech but I couldn't seem to find out how to apply for First tech it kept asking me to contact a representative? Do they not do online apps?

I believe they do. I was able to start an application online (I am using Google Chrome):

I am not sure if you already have to be a member of Financial Fitness or if they can help you join when joining First Tech. You could reach out to the Moderator here, Relevate. He joined them and applied for and was approved for a MasterCard.
