Hey Gang,
I just did a search on this, but found no mention of it. My SO is considering Altitude Reserve. Told him card was relationship based, so he agreed to open Gold checking. He has scores in 800's and I knew he would qualify for Because You've Earned It.
After searching site, looks like program ended. So, it looks like credit card, LOC, and investments are only ways to waive checking fees.
We'll open a joint checking if I'm approved for Cash Plus. My SO can build relationship for AR.
Just thought I'd pass this on. Kind of surprised, Because You've Earned It was around earlier this year.
Well, if they are approved for AR ( I cannot remember how many business days one has to wait), there wouldn't be any fees.
They should open gold checking, wait 5 days then apply (if everything else is in order).

Yeah, he has a clean file. FICO over 800, and his last card was 4 years ago. I'm bringing him to the dark side!! 😂
Sometimes, becoming corrupted can be a good thing.

Lemme know if he needs stern talkin' to😂
Luckily I already had a USB CC when I opened the Gold checking account so I didn't have to worry about the fees, it would be unfortunate if OP was to not be approved for some odd reason and then be charged said fee. Though with that kind of profile I don't really see a denial happening. I would question the actual time frame though as being "relationship" material, as I don't see how having an account opened for only 5 days is considered a relationship. lol
The wait time is one statement period so I'd say around the thirty day mark, if your statement closes without an active credit card then you would be assessed the fee. My account is assessed a fee/reimbursed same day every month.
