Just received my $600 BMO payout.
Waiting for my $300 Citi payout.
Now looking at the $500 USB bonus. FL resident, so will have to put $500 in a 1mo CD @ 0.5% in order to open a checking.
In the past I've wanted to open and maintain a relationship with them, but none of their cards interest me anymore. Still, feels wrong to open and close after payout with them.
My issues recently with bank bonuses have been zelle access and low daily/ monthly limits. Does USB give immediate access to zelle, even before receiving the card? Any other issues from those who have completed the USB bonuses? Thanks

consider opening a business checking, the silver? account has no miniumums, so I have $20 in there and just let it sit. plus it has a good bonus currently, I assume you have the funds if you did the BMO bonus.
I want some of their cards in the future, so I'd figured I might as well leave it opened. If you truly have no interest, there's nothing in the terms that mandates account activity or keeping the account open for X amount of time. They are fully within their right to deny you accounts in the future, but that hasn't been reported. People churning the bonus is the cost of doing business and they wouldn't provide the promotional offers if it didn't work.
no interest in Cash+ or Kroger card? (5% on $3k mobile wallet spend/year)
as for the bonuses, they paid out relatively quickly and were painless to close. the $300 citi bonus paid out really fast too.

Easy to open business checking with them as a SP / with SSN only?
Dont shop at Kroger/ not one nearby. The NAF cards have similar structures to my current cards, and the AF cards dont seem worth it bc of the caps. I inititally wanted the Shoppers for home renovations, but we're already pretty deep into it and my INQs wouldnt support a USB app lol.
Good to hear about the Citi bonus, maybe I could expect it this week (2nd DD 2/1)
Great point 👍🏽

I did it last year, and found it a bit of nightmare getting my money out. Their ACH limits varied between $1,000 and $1,500, I could only do a few a month, and they took a while to clear. I think I eventually just closed it and got a check, which I probably should have done from the start. Didn't use Zelle.
The debit card is really pretty, though. (I got the Nuestra Herencia.)

Zelle is my only concern so that I could get it right back to my main account where the bills come from. Thanks for letting me know tho

I got that bonus recently. The only things I was interested in were (a) getting the bonus quickly after being eligible (I did), (b) being able to close the account without hassle (I was able), and (c) early direct deposit (it didn't have that).

What do you have to provide that proves you have a business?

From their website:
You’ll need:
Your SSN, personal address and phone number
Your business’s Taxpayer Identification Number (EIN, SSN, ITIN)
Name, email address and phone number for any additional owners with 25% or more ownership in the company
With their CC I have to provide my EIN and formation cert from the Secretary of State. I might sign up for Silver account
Currently I'm waiting on my payout from the Capital One 360Saving bonus DOC: [Expired] Capital One $300-$1,500 Savings Bonus, Requires $20,000-$100,000 Deposit. However I think I'm going to sign up for their checking bonus and switch my direct deposit for a few months to hit US their thresholds as well as saving bonus, a few extra bucks can be useful when I move this summer. So since they accepted me (unlike like Chase who denied me from opening a checking acct), I think setting up some checking and saving accts would be beneficial if/when I apply for their personal or business credit cards in future.
So I applied for both personnel and silver business account, I was deined for both.....which sucks. On the personnel side the reason stated was "inconsistencies in the information provided." When I called the CSR the real reason I was given was because their were no branches located within 50 miles of my local (or even my state). Looks I will have to wait until I get to Cali to at least open up any banking account with US Bank.

The bank will open checking accounts for people who live out-of-footprint if they have US Bank credit cards. Apparently, having a US Bank investment account no longer works.
