I'm interested in getting a US Bank credit card and would probably want to take advantage of their free checking account offer. If I am not normally eligible to open a checking account because I'm out of their geofence, would having the credit card change my eligibility?
If have statefarm use that or if you have a thing like and IRA with tem will also take down fence

Thanks for that. I've had State Farm insurance for 17 years and haven't looked into their other services (or realized they were affiliated with US Bank). It does look like I'm eligible for a free checking account that way as well.
Yes! Like you I tried to get a checking account with US Bank to start my relationship with them prior to getting a credit card with them. I wasn't eligible based on where I live in relation to the nearest branch. I only stay 2 hours away from a branch, but there were none in my city. After I got approved for my 1st US Bank credit card I immediately became eligible to open a bank account with them.

Thanks, I was confused about whether this would be the case.
I'm not trying to open a checking account with them currently, but for curiosity do you what the distance limit is to be geofenced out of one? I'm a little under 44 miles from the nearest branch.

When I inquired I believe that range was 500 miles.
