I guess this explains it @crystal626
3.87% bump. So, I guess, 0.05% + 3.87% = 3.92%

You do nice work Roy ... love your interest rate!
I can't explain it TL. But I'll take it!
Again, don't ask me to explain it but now my Smartly Savings jumped from 3.92% to 4.00%!
Hmmm, ok, maybe it's the same but, before, they were showing me APR (3.92%) which is an APY of 4.00%?
0.05% APR base + 3.87% APR boost = 3.92% APR = 4.00% APY? :dunno:

Do understand your question or confusion.
Trying to figure mine out after you mentioned it and still do not match ... just maybe it ties back to us getting in on the ground floor of the US Bank Smartly program and the ways to figure it that are in the public today, do not tie out.
Just sayin' ... my rationale which may not be right?

It is very odd Trap. If you search, you'll find that the highest they offer right now is 3.50%. So, why do I have 4.00%?
What is yours?
Just saw this thread. A while back I received a letter from US Bank telling me that my smartly rate bump would be removed from my Savings account and would also not be available on any future accounts that I opened. I don't think I was told what sin caused this, but I didn't really care. Anyway, checking now it says 3.5% APR "includes Smartly Interest rate bump" So this month I got 39c! (Please don't send sad begging letters, it's all mine!)
I wonder if it's just a case of their IT systems not being capable of swift changes (somehow they would have to add conditions, "add smartly interest bump if certain balance is ...., UNLESS on naughty list"!
Yikes! The website for my US Bank Smartly Savings was changed. What I get shows as 2.25% including the bump. Must have happened in the last couple of days. Will need to monitor the site as I am confused. ![]()
Best to not poke the bear. Just in case US Bank is altering the rules of the game?
